According to Diaz, the goal is not only to create a visual replica of the robot, but also to add features to make it lifelike. It took several iterations for the project to reach its current level.

The TARS robot, which uses a raspberry pie 3 Model B as its core and a drive motor, claims to be able to walk for hours. The front part of the TARS robot is also equipped with a 5-inch Elecrow display and remotely controlled by Bluetooth remote control to run the Raspberry Pi OS system.
