CTOnews.com August 21 news, CTOnews.com learned from the National Space Administration that the world's first high-orbit synthetic aperture radar satellite Land Exploration 4 01, launched on August 13, entered the working orbit successfully after four orbit changes, and the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) antenna was successfully launched. The main work of the initial flight control test of the satellite was completed. The satellite is in normal working condition and in good condition. Follow-up will continue to carry out in-orbit testing and other work.

In the development of Land Exploration No. 4 01 satellite project, the scheme of large aperture annular reflector antenna plus phased array feed is put forward and realized for the first time, which promotes the technical progress of relevant basic theory, system design and precision manufacturing.

The satellite can serve the application needs of seven industries, such as disaster prevention and reduction, earthquake monitoring, land and resources exploration and marine, water conservancy, meteorology, agriculture, environmental protection, forestry and so on. After it is put into use in the future, it will further improve China's space-based disaster monitoring system, enrich the observation means in key areas of our country, and comprehensively improve the comprehensive level of disaster prevention, mitigation and relief in our country.

Land Exploration No. 4-01 is a remote sensing scientific research satellite in the medium-and long-term Development Plan of National Civil Space Infrastructure (2015-2025). Meng Lingjie, deputy chief engineer of the National Space Administration's Earth observation and data Center Project, said that in the past year, China has launched more than 200 satellites. China's national civil space infrastructure system with satellite remote sensing, communications and navigation as the main body has initially taken shape. In the follow-up, it will continue to improve the construction of national space infrastructure, promote the development of remote sensing, communications, and navigation satellite integration technology, and accelerate the promotion of ubiquitous communication, accurate space-time, and all-dimensional perception of spatial information service capabilities.
