Tom Coates found that X had deleted all media posted before 2014, including links to pictures and tweets (short links automatically converted through twitter), causing strong dissatisfaction among users, but so far there has been no official response.

In fact, a vtuber @ DaniloTakagi from Brazil pointed out this problem a few days ago. Judge by the posts that can be seen on the author's personal account. This issue does not affect video (CTOnews.com Note: Twitter added native image support in 2011 and built-in video in 2016), but links such as YouTube have now become invalid t.co URL text.

For now, all the affected tweets were posted before December 2014, and it's not clear whether Bug or X officials did it on purpose.

There is speculation that this may be a deliberate cost-cutting move by Mr Musk, but it could also be one of many Bug that have emerged since last year's acquisitions and massive layoffs. Unfortunately, Twitter\ X has not responded yet.
