Downie also said that even though there has been a lot of research on anti-blue lenses, more and larger investigations are needed to confirm the relevant value of anti-blue lenses.

For example, the follow-up time of the current study is mainly from 1 day to 5 weeks, and if you want more accurate data, you need to further lengthen the observation period in order to draw more accurate conclusions.

Sumeer Singh, lead author of the paper, said that even if there is no larger, longer and more stringent research data, the preliminary data suggest that the effectiveness of anti-blue-light lenses is questionable.

Singh says:

The amount of blue light our eyes receive from artificial light sources, such as computer screens, is about 1/1000 of the amount of blue light we get from natural light.

It is also worth noting that anti-blue lenses usually filter out about 10-25% of the blue light, and the more blue light is filtered, the more amber the lens will be, seriously affecting the wearer's color perception.
