Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, August 19 (Xinhua) A team of researchers from the University of Melbourne, Monash University and City University of London, which studied 17 published studies from six countries and regions, said there was no evidence that anti-Blu-ray lenses could reduce visual impairment.
Picture source: when many PxHere manufacturers and optical shops promote anti-Blu-ray lenses, they say that these lenses reduce the damage to eyesight and improve the sleep quality of the wearer. The team examined the reports in depth and said there was no evidence that anti-Blu-ray lenses had these effects.
"We have reviewed existing studies and there is no evidence to come to this conclusion," said Laura Downie, lead author of the study. "our research does not provide evidence that ordinary consumers wear anti-blue lenses."
Downie also said that even though there has been a lot of research on anti-blue lenses, more and larger investigations are needed to confirm the relevant value of anti-blue lenses.
For example, the follow-up time of the current study is mainly from 1 day to 5 weeks, and if you want more accurate data, you need to further lengthen the observation period in order to draw more accurate conclusions.
Sumeer Singh, lead author of the paper, said that even if there is no larger, longer and more stringent research data, the preliminary data suggest that the effectiveness of anti-blue-light lenses is questionable.
Singh says:
The amount of blue light our eyes receive from artificial light sources, such as computer screens, is about 1/1000 of the amount of blue light we get from natural light.
It is also worth noting that anti-blue lenses usually filter out about 10-25% of the blue light, and the more blue light is filtered, the more amber the lens will be, seriously affecting the wearer's color perception.
