Every year, Crazy Maru will introduce the excellent works from the "Best Visual Illusion Competition of the year". Today, as before, we have selected some interesting works from the 2023 competition to challenge your brain and vision.

Magic platform sometimes, the effect of visual illusion is the same as magic, without any computer special effects, you can reproduce the magic of magic under your nose.

The winner of this year's visual illusion contest is such a magic wall:

The following work of one-way flight, from Japanese mathematician Yuji Sugihara, a butterfly is placed in front of a mirror, which reflects the appearance of the butterfly, but can you see what's wrong?

That is, the butterfly in the mirror is in the opposite direction, and its "flying" direction is the same as that of the butterfly outside the mirror:

Foer's illusion "rubber hand hallucination" is a classic delusional experience, which simply means using a baffle to separate the artificial hand from the real hand, keeping the artificial hand in the subject's line of sight, and then by stroking the artificial hand and the real hand at the same time. The subjects will gradually mistake the fake hand for their real hand.

If the synchronization effect is good, after a period of time, the participants will experience the feeling that the earlobe is elongated, and even the earlobe is stretched without balloons.

The X-ray skull is similar to the "skull touch illusion" of the previous illusion.

When the top of the head is touched, there is not only flesh on the head, but also thick hair, but this illusion can make people feel like they have been touched through the flesh and hair and their skulls.

The participants' appearance in the mirror overlapped with the glowing skull, and then the touch of their hands created the illusion of being touched by the skull:

This illusion needs to be done in a dark room, with a glowing "skull model" and a translucent mirror:

One hand was placed on the subject's head and the other on the model. When the model shines, the subjects see the skull being touched and the skull overlaps with their own head in the mirror, resulting in an illusion.

Of course, not everyone can succeed, and 77 of the 101 participants are reported to feel it.

It's a little sour when I think about it when I see someone's eyes buckled. So if you look at it this way, there are some delusions, it's better not to experience it.
