Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen South China Wu Yanzu for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com August 19 news, according to the source @Tech_Reve revealed that Samsung plans to mass produce HP7, GN6 and HU1 three ISOCELL sensors in the second half of next year, and said that domestic mobile phone manufacturers will take the lead in using GN6 sensors.

Samsung plans to mass produce ISOCELL GN6 sensors in the second half of 2024, equipped with 50 megapixels and a pixel size of 1.6μm. The sensor has a 1-inch outsole and will compete head-to-head with Sony's IMX989 sensor when it hits the market.

In a follow-up tweet, Samsung's GN6 sensor is mainly supplied to domestic mobile phone manufacturers and will not be equipped on its own Galaxy models.

CTOnews.com also learned from follow-up tweets that Samsung is currently developing a 200 million pixel ISOCELL HP7 sensor with a pixel size of 0.6μm, originally planned to be used on Galaxy S25 Ultra devices, but eventually chose to give up because of the high cost.

Samsung is also developing 320 million pixel and 440 million pixel (HU1) sensors, and it is estimated that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will use 320 million pixel sensors.
