Yesterday, the official account of Yi'an property Insurance officially changed its name to BYD property Insurance, and the profile of the official account declared that "BYD Insurance is customer-centered and committed to using Internet thinking to provide personalized and differentiated risk protection solutions." this means that BYD has officially entered the insurance industry.

This capital increase is funded by existing shareholder BYD Automotive Industry Co., Ltd. After the capital increase, BYD property Insurance registered capital will reach 4 billion yuan, and the proportion of shares held by existing shareholders will remain unchanged.

Yi an property Insurance was previously "one of the four professional Internet insurance companies in China". It was established in February 2016 with a registered capital of 1 billion yuan. On June 29, 2022, the Banco Insurance Regulatory Commission approved the bankruptcy reorganization of Yi an property Insurance. On July 15 last year, Yi an property Insurance was approved to enter the bankruptcy reorganization process, becoming the first property insurance company in China to go bankrupt, while BYD submitted a restructuring investment plan.
