Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

CTOnews.com August 17 news, MSI is preparing to launch a new Z790 MAX series motherboard, which will support Intel's 14th generation Raptor Lake Refresh series CPU, equipped with WiFI 7 and other functions.

In fact, MSI has already demonstrated the MSI Z790 MAX series motherboards at the Taipei International computer Show, including MEG ACE MAX, MPG Carbon MAX WIFI, MPG EDGE MAX WIFI and MAG Tomahawk MAX models.

Wccftech has now released pictures of these motherboards. Let's take a look at them together.

As expected, these motherboards will fully support Intel 14-generation Raptor Lake Refresh desktop processors and faster DDR5 memory. The VRM will be adjusted to support a higher TDP and a better heat dissipation design will be adopted, as previously reported by CTOnews.com for information on the 14-generation CPU.

MSI MEG Z790 ACE MAX motherboard

The MSI MEG Z790 ACE MAX is based on the LGA 1700 platform and features a 24-phase DUET Rail power supply design, including 105A SPS Dr.MOS power supply, dual 8pin power connectors and four DDR5 DIMM slots (supporting 7600 MT/s+ and 192 GB capacity).

The motherboard has five M.2 slots, two PCIe 5.0x16 slots, and one Gen 4x8 slot. Although most I / Os remain the same, the biggest upgrade to this new motherboard is WIFI 7 and 5.0 GbE LAN support.

MSI MPG Z790 Carbon Max WIFI motherboard

The Z790 CARBON MAX WIFI is very similar to the Z790 EDGE MAX WIFI, with the Carbon in invisible black and the Edge in milky white.

The Carbon Max is powered by a 19-phase straight-out 105A SPS Dr.MOS, while the EDGE Max is powered by a 16-phase and 90A SPS Dr.MOS.

The Carbon Max motherboard supports up to DDR5-7600 + memory, while Edge supports DDR5-7200 + memory. Both motherboards have WIFI 7 functions, and the Carbon has an onboard 5 GbE LAN port, while the Edge supports 2.5 GbE.

MSI MAG Z790 Tomahawk MAX WIFI motherboard

The cheapest of these motherboards is it, which uses a 16-phase VRM design, has 90A SPS Dr.MOS power, supports DDR5-7200 + memory and WIFI 7, with 2.5 GbE LAN ports, and looks unique.

It also provides a large number of common interfaces, such as four M.2 slots with Shield Frozr technology, eight SATA III interfaces, two full-length PCIe slots, and a large number of I / O, including two Type-C interfaces.
