CTOnews.com August 17, the public beta version of OBS Studio 30.0 is released today. The biggest highlight is the addition of Intel QSV (Quick Sync Video) support on the Linux platform, as well as HDR playback support for DeckLink output.

The public beta version of OBS Studio 30.0 also improved GUI, redesigned the status bar to help users manage content more organized and structured, and introduced more representative and identifiable icons.

The public beta version of OBS Studio 30.0 also introduces a new "safe mode" that can be run without third-party plug-ins, scripts, and websockets.

When the new version detects an incorrect shutdown, the user will be prompted for safe Mode for troubleshooting, but it can also be activated manually from the help menu.

Among other noteworthy changes, the upcoming OBS Studio version will by default sort the audio / video encoder drop-down list by name, add the ability to arrange filters using drag-and-drop, enable GPU scaling "rescale output" where possible, and add logging of scene changes in Studio mode.
