Common commands for Netscreen Firewall-Administration

Ns25- > get admin / / View the management settings of the firewall

Change the administrator password:

Ns25- > set admin password 12345678 / / change the administrator password to 12345678

Modify the administrator user name:

Ns25- > set admin name morphoneme / / change the default administrator username to morphoneme

Password has been restored to default "netscreen". For security reasons, please change password immediately. / / after the administrator account is changed, the administrator password system is automatically changed to netscreen

Ns25- > set admin user liusuping password 12345678 privilege all / / add an administrator account named "liusuping" with a password of 12345678 and permissions of read / write, and all can be changed to read-only

Ns25- > unset admin user liusuping / / Delete the administrator account with the user name liusuping

Ns25- > set admin telnet port 1001 / / change the port of firewall telnet to 1001

Ns25- > set admin manager-ip 192.168.0.16 / / only computers with ip address 192.168.0.16 are allowed to manage the firewall. Note: only one ip address can be added at a time, not the network segment.

Ns25- > unset admin manager-ip 192.168.0.16 / / cancel allowing only computer management firewalls with ip address 192.168.0.16

Ns25- > unset admin manager-ip all / / removes the ip restrictions for managing firewalls. Sometimes you cannot log in to the firewall using web or telnet. But the firewall works normally, but it is possible that the restrictions on management access ip are set. You need to use the console line to cancel these restrictions in order to log in to the firewall normally.

Ns25- > set admin port 1001 / / change firewall web management port to 1001
