CTOnews.com, August 17 (Xinhua) Microsoft recently revised its Xbox law enforcement crackdown system. One of the controversial adjustments is that accounts will be suspended for eight violations for 365 days.

CTOnews.com attached here the adjustment of the new Xbox rules as follows, with a natural period of 6 months. If there are multiple violations during this period, the penalty results are as follows:

One violation, and the account is suspended for one day.

Break the rules twice and suspend the account for 1 day.

Break the rules for 3 times and suspend the account for 3 days.

Broke the rules for 4 times and suspended the account for 7 days.

Broke the rules for 5 times and suspended the account for 14 days.

Broke the rules for 6 times and suspended the account for 21 days.

Broke the rules for 7 times and suspended the account for 60 days.

Broke the rules 8 times and suspended the account for 365 days.

However, the new rules also account for 2 or 3 times of some violations according to the seriousness of the circumstances:

Abusive or improper behavior, counting 1 violation

Cheating, counting 1 violation

Sexual harassment and other misconduct, including 2 violations

Harassment or bullying and other acts, including 2 violations

Hate speech, three violations.

Ryan McCaffrey, executive editor of IGN, expressed his concern that the penalty was too severe to be suspended for 365 days after eight violations.

Spencer then responded:

Thank you for your feedback. The law enforcement system is originally designed to serve players and create a good game environment for players who abide by the rules. The violation count is divided by severity, and multiple counts will be triggered if the circumstances are serious.
