Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen Xiao Xing _ 14 for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com, Aug. 17, in a recently released Power On program, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman (Mark Goolman) said that Apple may return to the Reality brand in some countries, such as China, where there is a dispute over the Vision Pro trademark.

▲ is based on Apple's official website. Shortly before the official release of Apple's Vision Pro, it is expected that Apple's first head display product will be launched under the name "Reality Pro". In August last year, Gurman said the trademark names "Reality Pro", "Reality One" and "Reality Processor" were registered by a shell company called Immersive Health Solutions LLC.

Gurman has confirmed that the trademark of "Reality" has now been transferred to Apple, suggesting that Apple is considering adopting the "Reality" brand for its much-anticipated headline products. If the company does not consider the possibility of using the name, it will not go to the trouble of secretly registering trademarks in dozens of countries.

More importantly, although Apple finally decided to name its first head display product "Vision Pro", it may lead to trademark disputes in some countries.

According to CTOnews.com, Huawei successfully applied for the trademark of Vision Pro as early as May 16, 2019, and the exclusive right to use the trademark lasted for 10 years from November 28, 2021 to November 27, 2031. The trademark belongs to International Classification 9 and covers a variety of goods and services such as LCD TVs, headset virtual reality devices and radio devices, which means that Apple's use of the name "Vision Pro" in China may be suspected of infringing Huawei's trademark rights.

CTOnews.com inquiry found that the trademark of Vision Pro applied by Apple is currently in a state of "waiting for substantive review".
