CTOnews.com, August 17 (Xinhua)-- Apple expects to launch an official version of iOS 17 in mid-late September, with iPhone XS and newer models available for free updates. The update includes many new features, but CTOnews.com notes that not all of them will be available immediately, according to Apple's website.

Below is a list of three features that Apple says will be released later this year as part of a future version of iOS 17, such as iOS 17.1 or iOS 17.2. Apple has been testing iOS 17.1 internally for weeks, and the update is likely to be released by the end of October.

Diary app: the new diary app will allow iPhone users to review their days and memories, including text, photos, music, audio recordings, etc. The application will provide personalized advice based on recent activities on the device.

Apple Music Collaborative Playlist: Apple Music's new Collaborative Playlist feature will allow multiple people to add, reorder, and remove songs from shared playlists.

AirDrop over the Internet: if you send content, such as pictures or videos, to another user via AirDrop, when you leave the AirDrop range, the transmission will be able to continue over an Internet connection, as long as you and the recipient are logged into the iCloud account.
