Earlier, Sherry Carbary, the 34-year-old former Boeing China president of the service company, announced plans to retire in 2023. Starting from July 10, Liu Qing was appointed to act as president of Boeing China.

As president of Boeing China, Liu Qing will be responsible for formulating and implementing Boeing's development and cooperation strategy in China, one of its largest civil aviation markets. CTOnews.com learned from Boeing that Liu Qing, who was born in China's Liaoning Province, served as vice chairman of Ford Motor Greater China, vice president and general counsel of Ford Motor International Marketing Group, and leader of Chrysler and Chrysler-Daimler. Before becoming president of Boeing China, Liu Qing was the leader of Boeing Civil aircraft Group's flight services business, managing nearly 5000 employees in 15 training centers around the world.
