CTOnews.com August 16 news, Microsoft recently announced its AI terms of service, and announced that it will come into effect on September 30. This new clause is mainly aimed at generative AI, especially in the use of relevant users, as well as responsible development practices.

Microsoft stressed that officials will not keep conversations between users and Bing chat, nor will it use the chat data to train Bing Enterprise Chat's AI model.

These five key policy points cover a range of areas, including prohibiting users from attempting to reverse engineer AI models to prevent the discovery of underlying components; not allowing data extraction through methods such as Web fetching unless explicitly allowed; and an important clause restricting users from using AI data to create or enhance other AI services.

O. AI service. "AI service" means a service marked or described by Microsoft to include, use, support or constitute an artificial intelligence system provided by an artificial intelligence (hereinafter referred to as "AI") system.

i. Reverse engineering. You must not use AI services to discover any underlying components of models, algorithms, and systems. For example, you must not attempt to determine and delete the weights of the model.

ii. Extract the data. Unless expressly permitted, you may not use web crawling, web search, or web data extraction methods to extract data from AI services.

iii. Usage restrictions for AI service data. You may not use AI services or data from AI services to create, train, or improve (directly or indirectly) any other AI service.

iv. Use your content. In the process of providing AI services, Microsoft will process and store your input to the service and output of the service to monitor and prevent abuse, harmful use or output of the service.

v. A third party claims. If a third party claims for your use of the AI Services (including, but not limited to, copyright infringement or other claims relating to the output of the content when you use the AI Services), you are responsible for responding in accordance with applicable law.
