CTOnews.com, August 16, Tesla today launched a new type of secondary household charger called Tesla Universal Wall-mounted Connector (Tesla Universal Wall Connector), which has a unique feature that can charge any electric car sold in North America without the need for additional adapters. Customers can order chargers today, but they can't start shipping until October.

This is because the universal wall mount connector uses an AC version of the Super Charger Magic pedestal (Supercharger Magic Dock), which allows the charger to release a built-in J1772 adapter when needed, so that electric vehicles using the new North American charging Standard (NACS) or the J1772 interface can be charged.

General-purpose wall-mount connectors go on sale today at Best Buy and Tesla stores for $595 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 4344 yuan). This price is reasonable and is in line with Tesla's other household charging products. The current price of Tesla wall-mount connector (Tesla Wall Connector) is US $475, while the price of Tesla J1772 wall-mount connector (Tesla J1772 Wall Connector) is US $550.

In addition to the introduction of universal wall connectors, Tesla announced today that an update will be sent to its mobile application soon. This update will bring more features and activate some features, including scheduling charging times and viewing data on past charging events.
