CTOnews.com, August 16 (Xinhua)-- after releasing the One UI 5.1.1 beta last month, Samsung has now officially announced the One UI 5.1.1 update for previous generations of Galaxy folding screen phones, tablets and smartwatches. This update will be available this month for Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4, followed by updates for Z Fold3, Z Flip3, Z Fold2 and Z Flip.

The One UI 5.1.1 update will add some new features to older folding screen phones, including a Flex mode panel with customizable toolbars and a multi-window mode that allows users to open and use two apps at the same time without interrupting media playback.

In addition, the hidden pop-up features of Z Fold4, Z Flip5, and Tab S8 devices allow users to open applications, adjust layout, switch applications, or assign them to split-screen multitasking, and hide them when finished.

The Pop-up View to Multi-window feature allows the user to switch pop-up applications to two applications on the screen by holding down the handle of the pop-up window.

The two-handed drag-and-drop feature helps users quickly select multiple files and then drag them to another application on the taskbar for editing or sending.

These features will apply to Galaxy folding screen phones and tablets. As for the Galaxy Watch series, the Watch5 and Watch4 series will gain sleep insight and provide a detailed sleep score report, including sleep stages and comprehensive sleep scores. Users of the old Galaxy Watch will also get more dials and a camera controller that can be used as a remote shutter for compatible Galaxy phones.
