CTOnews.com Jeff Pu, a technical analyst at Haitong International Securities, said that next year's iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max (Ultra) models will support Wi-Fi 7 and upgraded 48MP ultra-wide angle lenses.

Jeff Pu revealed in the latest industry research report that Apple will provide Wi-Fi 6E support for iPhone 15 series models, and will upgrade Wi-Fi 7 for iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max next year.

The main advantage of Wi-Fi 6E is that it supports the 6GHz band, which provides higher concurrency, lower latency and greater bandwidth.

Apple has introduced Wi-Fi 6E support in the iPad Pro, 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, Mac Studio, Mac Pro, and Mac mini (CTOnews.com Note: only available in countries where this feature is supported).

Following Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi 7 devices will also be able to send and receive data in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6GHz bands, resulting in faster wireless transmission speeds, lower latency and more reliable connections; coupled with technologies such as 4K QAM, Wi-Fi 7 is expected to deliver peak data transmission speeds of more than 40 Gbps, four times faster than Wi-Fi 6E.

As for the new generation of 48MP ultra-wide angle lens is already a cliché, the new lens is expected to adopt a larger 1/1.14 inch outsole design, which helps the iPhone 16 Pro series models capture more light in dark light conditions, thus obtaining higher quality photos when shooting in 0.5× mode.
