CTOnews.com, August 15 (Xinhua)-- Synopsys, a maker of chip design tools, announced on Monday that it had signed a new agreement with Intel to integrate its technology building modules into Intel's advanced contract manufacturing business.

The agreement includes intellectual property rights owned by Synaptics and provides off-the-shelf components for chip designers to speed up the chip design process.

CTOnews.com note: the two companies said in the agreement that the two sides have established a cooperation framework to exchange intellectual property rights in the future manufacturing process, but the two sides did not disclose the amount of this cooperation.

Synaptic will provide Intel with a range of designs to meet the design needs of Intel's Intel 3 and Intel 18A processes.
