CTOnews.com August 15, Microsoft first officially launched Windows 11:00 more than two years ago, detailing some of the touch improvements, mainly around its Surface Pro X device. Today, the company reiterated these improvements in a new blog post entitled "Microsoft Surface:Surface is built to showcase the best features of Win11" in more detail about why Windows 11 and Surface are the best combination.

Microsoft said:

Surface and Windows 11 are compatible, optimizing the experience of tablets, laptops and desktops when users change posture, easily and automatically switching between modes. When you pull out the pen, the pen menu opens immediately.

Next, Microsoft describes how Windows 11 can make Surface devices more energy efficient, up to 61%. For example, its dynamic refresh rate technology can switch between 60Hz and 120Hz according to the usage scenario. Microsoft said:

Microsoft engineers want the Surface to have more processing power, but they also want to improve battery life and performance. In addition, designers want a lighter shape. They do this through subtle innovations, such as when employees switch to writing mode, the display is automatically raised to 120Hz to provide the best stylus experience. Once the Surface is switched to another mode, the display reverts to 60Hz to reduce the battery load. For all these challenges, Surface's average battery life increased by 61%, allowing employees to work longer between charges.

Of course, Microsoft also talked about improved security, which is one of the main advantages of Windows 11 that the company has always stressed. Microsoft claims that companies and organizations have reported a 58 per cent reduction in network security issues after using Windows 11 Pro devices.

This is thanks to Microsoft maintaining all the code in the Surface security stack, from firmware to operating systems to the cloud. The Surface device runs the most secure Windows operating system ever, and CPU has built-in encryption processor security measures.

Finally, Microsoft also talked about the convenience of deploying and managing Surface devices with Windows Autopatch. The company claims that deployment speed has increased by 25%, while calls for help have decreased by 80%, resulting in savings of more than $1 million.

It is now easier than ever to deploy and manage Surface, with 25 per cent faster deployment and 80 per cent fewer calls to help. These savings benefit from Windows Autopilot, which designs, projects, and tests on Surface, providing a zero-touch deployment experience.
