CTOnews.com August 14, Evergrande Motor (0708.HK) issued an announcement that it received a strategic investment of about US $500m (CTOnews.com Note: about RMB 3.63 billion) from Dubai-based Nadaq:NWTN, which holds about 27.50% of the issued shares with a total consideration of HK $3889723903 (about US $500 million), which means the subscription price for each subscription share is HK $0.6297.

It is understood that NWTN Group has signed a transitional financial support agreement with Evergrande New Energy vehicles. if the prerequisites in the agreement are met, the fund provider shall provide interest-free and guaranteed transitional funds with a total amount of 600 million yuan to the fund recipient in three equal amounts for Evergrande's R & D, production and sales business.

On August 14, Evergrande's public shareholding was 41.39%. After the debt-to-equity swap is completed, the company's public shareholding will fall to about 31.08 per cent. After delivery, the subscriber will become the core connected person of the company, holding a total of about 27.50% of the issued shares. Immediately after the settlement, the company's public shareholding was about 22.53%.
