Sony's solution can "ensure the delay-free support of Dolby panoramic sound". With the help of Tempest 3D Audio Tech technology, the Ambisonic audio channel of the system can be rendered to different speakers. Sony's Dolby panoramic sound system can be used by any headset, stereo TV speaker, or 5.1 Dolby 7.1 channel audio system.

In addition, Mark Cerny said that Sony's Dolby panoramic sound technology can not only transmit sound sources to players from all directions, creating a better sense of immersion, but also bring higher-quality audio experience to players in the future as engineers' training technology continues to improve.

Sony PlayStation has previously pushed the PS5 Beta version of the system update to test users, but the exact launch date of the official version has not been announced. At present, only PS5 players in the United States, Canada, Japan, Britain, Germany and France can carry out Beta firmware testing, while Chinese PS5 players cannot directly test related functions.
