CTOnews.com, August 14 (Xinhua)-- Google launched its Pixel Fold folding screen phone in May, which supports spatial audio through wired and wireless headphones for a more immersive audio experience.

Now, Google Pixel Fold can also support spatial audio through built-in speakers. According to a post posted by Mishaal Rahman, a former editor of XDA-Developers, users shared a screenshot showing that Pixel Fold's built-in speakers already support spatial audio.

Google Pixel Fold users can experience built-in spatial audio by opening the button next to the Mobile Speaker option from the Settings > cue tone and Vibration > Spatial Audio menu.

CTOnews.com found that this option is also listed in the help for mobile phone use on Google's official website, which does seem to have official support.

Note that Google's spatial audio support for built-in speakers is unique to Pixel Fold. After all, only folding screens can change the relative position of speakers through hinges, while Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro can only experience spatial audio through wired and wireless headphones.
