In the end, Xi'an became the host city of NIO Day 2023 with 46% of the votes (a total of 87793311 votes) (with the azure value of community users as the voting value).

It is said that a total of 190027531 votes were received in this bid, and Guangzhou and Harbin received 78952987 votes and 23281233 votes respectively in the final voting.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, the bid conditions for NIO Day are as follows:

The bidding city has not held NIO Day in the past 8 years.

There will be 14 consecutive days available from December 1 to 31, 2023, and the activity day must be set on Saturday.

The infield should be equipped with indoor / semi-indoor space.

After the stage seats are built, they can hold at least 8000 people.

Outfield sites can be selected indoors or outdoors, or public areas, but fencing is allowed to be used as an exclusive area for activities.

The usable construction area is at least 5000 square meters

It is understood that NIO Day is the "annual event for the release of new products" and the "annual gathering of users and friends". It has been held six times since 2017.

2017: the first NIO Day, held in Beijing, launched the first model, the flagship SUV ES8, as well as NIO Pilot driving assist system, NOMI vehicle "artificial intelligence" system, and power service system NIO Power.

2018: held in Shanghai, the launch of a new model-- medium-sized SUV ES6, as well as the flagship SUV ES8 six-seater version
