In June 2023, 22 new models of mobile phones were launched in China, down 35.3% from the same period last year, of which 7 models of 5G phones were down 72.0% from the same period last year, accounting for 31.8% of the number of new models on the market in the same period.

From January to June 2023, there were a total of 203 new models on the market, an increase of 1.0% over the same period last year, of which 85 were 5G phones, down 24.1% from the same period last year, accounting for 41.9% of the number of new models on the market in the same period.

In terms of smartphones, CTOnews.com noted that 20.863 million smartphones were shipped in June 2023, down 24.1 per cent from a year earlier and accounting for 94.2 per cent of mobile phone shipments in the same period.
