CTOnews.com, August 10 (Xinhua)-- the TechInsights smartphone country share tracking (SCST) service recently released the 2023 Q2 "Market share of smartphone manufacturers in 15 countries around the world" report, in which 13 countries experienced another sharp decline in smartphone shipments compared with the same period last year.

▲ Touyuan TechInsights, the same report below, said that shipments in China fell 5% year on year, surpassing the global market growth rate of-8%; Apple's market share in Japan fell to less than 50% in five years, and Google's market share reached an all-time high; the South Korean market has not changed much from the previous quarter, and the competition between Apple and Samsung is about to begin in the second half of this year. Annual shipments in the US market fell by double digits for three consecutive quarters, mainly due to economic uncertainty and consumers' reluctance to upgrade their phones.

The global market is down 8% year on year.

As previously reported by CTOnews.com, the global smartphone market report for the second quarter of 2023 released by TechInsights, a market research agency, showed that global smartphone shipments fell-8 per cent year on year in that quarter, marking the eighth consecutive quarter of annual decline in global smartphone shipments. the top five brands of shipments were Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi, OPPO (including one plus) and Voice.
