Data show that TSMC's consolidated revenue for the month was about NT $177.616 billion (currently about 40.319 billion yuan), a decrease of 4.9% from the same period last year, but an increase of 13.6% from the previous month, the second highest in the same period on record. From January to July this year, TSMC's cumulative receivables were about NT $1.16709 trillion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 264.929 billion yuan), down 3.7 per cent from a year earlier.

TSMC announced on August 8 that in response to the strong market demand for advanced processes, the Kaohsiung plant has decided to use 2 nm advanced process technology, the CTOnews.com reported yesterday, citing Taiwan's Economic Daily.

The company confirmed at the legal presentation meeting in April that the Kaohsiung plant had adjusted the 28nm production line to more advanced process technology, but did not mention what process to change at that time. TSMC's current 2nm production base has been planned for bamboo and Zhongke. If Kaohsiung is included in the future, the company will have three 2nm production bases. Taiwan's Central News Agency also reported that TSMC plans to produce a 2-nanometer process in 2025, using a nano-wafer transistor structure.

In addition, foreign science and technology media Android Headlines interpreted Guo Mingxing's revelations about Qualcomm a few days ago, believing that Qualcomm has concluded the production agreement of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip with TSMC and Samsung.

Guo Mingyi said Qualcomm is currently promoting its 3nm chips and has partnered with TSMC and Samsung Foundry to produce flagship processors for 2024.

According to the media, TSMC is responsible for producing Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processors, while Samsung is responsible for producing Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 "for Galaxy" processors, which will be made available to other handset manufacturers as a "leading version" in the case of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
