On August 9, 2023, Qualcomm Technologies announced that Snapdragon ®X755G modems and RF systems continued to break through the 5G performance boundaries, achieving downlink speeds as high as 7.5Gbps in the Sub-6GHz band, setting a new record.

This achievement is based on the Snapdragon X75, the world's first 5G Advanced-ready modem and RF system released during MWC Barcelona in February this year, highlighting Qualcomm's continued efforts to break through 5G performance boundaries and improve 5G flexibility.

The connection is based on a 5G independent networking (SA) network configuration for terminal testing, achieving the total 300MHz spectrum bandwidth by using carrier aggregation consisting of four TDD carrier channel aggregations in a single downlink, and 1024QAM technology to achieve this rate.

By aggregating the four TDD carrier channels, operators can make full use of their different spectrum assets to achieve higher data transmission rates. In addition, compared with 256QAM, 1024QAM ultimately improves data throughput and spectrum efficiency by including more data in a single transmission.

These two features of the Snapdragon X75, along with ten other global pioneering features supported by the modem and RF system, can lead to a better user experience, faster download speeds, greater network capacity, and higher spectrum efficiency. These features can provide more users with terminals that can meet future needs, run more smoothly, and support applications that require higher data connectivity, such as video streaming and downloading, online games, etc.
