Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

Thanks to CTOnews.com netizens for the delivery of clues on the way! CTOnews.com, August 10 (Xinhua)-- on Tuesday, local time, Rivian, a US electric vehicle startup, announced its results for the second quarter of fiscal 2023.

According to the data, Rivian's total revenue for the quarter reached $1.121 billion (currently about 8.105 billion yuan), higher than the previous market expectation of $1 billion (currently about 7.23 billion yuan) and a 207.69 percent year-on-year increase from $364 million (currently about 2.632 billion yuan) in the same period last year. As of June 30, Rivian had total revenue of $1.782 billion (currently about 12.884 billion yuan) this year.

In terms of production and sales, Rivian produced 23387 new cars and delivered 12640 new cars in the quarter, an increase of 59 per cent year-on-year.

In addition, Rivian's operating loss for the quarter was $285 million (currently about 2.061 billion yuan), down significantly from $1.708 billion (currently about 12.349 billion yuan) in the same period last year. In terms of capital expenditure, Rivian's capital expenditure in the quarter was $255 million (currently about 1.844 billion yuan), down from $359 million in the same period last year (currently about 2.596 billion yuan). Officials said this was because the company was in the early stages of increasing production last year and needed to invest a higher amount in equipment and construction.

According to CTOnews.com 's previous report, from 2024, Rivian owners will be able to use the Tesla supercharging station with adapters. From 2025, Tesla charging ports will become standard for their vehicles, and Tesla's charging standard will be adopted at the same time. RJ Scaringe, chief executive of Rivian, said the deal would enable buyers of Rivian pure electric pickup trucks and sports utility vehicles to "take better advantage of Tesla's vast network of charging stations".

The company said it would continue to expand its charging network while producing R1T pickups and R1s SUV. The company has previously said it plans to build more than 3500 charging stations.
