Reported that these companies have placed orders for $1 billion to purchase about 100,000 Nvidia A800 processors, which are expected to be delivered within this year. In addition, these companies have purchased $4 billion of Nvidia graphics processing units (GPU), which will be delivered in 2024.

The Nvidia A800 is a Chinese processor designed by Nvidia to address the U.S. Department of Commerce's new semiconductor export regulations to replace the A100 GPU. CTOnews.com noted that Nvidia's finance director said in June that restrictions on the export of AI chips to China "will permanently lose opportunities for the US industry" and that the company does not expect to be materially affected in the short term.
