CTOnews.com, August 9, according to data from the International camera and Image equipment Industry Association (CIPA), an industry organization in Japan, global sales of digital cameras rose 13% from January to June 2023 compared with the same period last year, reaching 313.7 billion yen (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 15.842 billion yuan), an increase for three consecutive years.

Digital camera is divided into fuselage and lens integrated card machine and lens interchangeable camera. Sales of card machines increased 22% to 34.8 billion yen (currently about 1.757 billion yuan), while sales of lens interchangeable cameras increased 11% to 278.8 billion yen (currently about 14.079 billion yuan).

Tuyuan Pexels's sales rose 25 per cent to 30.9 billion yen by region, 3 per cent to 69.2 billion yen in Europe and 6 per cent to 66.4 billion yen in the Americas. Sales in China increased by 34% to 83.9 billion yen, the largest increase. According to the Nikkei News, a senior executive of a Japanese camera manufacturer said that "with young people as the center, the Chinese market is very strong."

In addition, it is the non-reflective camera that drives the overall market. Sales of non-reflective cameras rose 20 per cent to 253.4 billion yen (currently about 12.797 billion yuan), an all-time high for three consecutive years, accounting for 81 per cent of the market as a whole.

However, in terms of shipments, the overall digital camera market decreased by 2% to 3.43 million, showing a shrinking trend, of which non-reflective cameras increased by 22% to 2.07 million.
