Lawsuits are expected to take place simultaneously in Germany, the UK, the European uniform Patent Court and China.

Panasonic said it decided to sue after years of bilateral negotiations with Xiaomi and OPPO but no solution was reached.

CTOnews.com inquired about the official website of the European uniform Patent Court (Unified Patent Court,UPC) and found that OPPO had filed four patent infringement lawsuits, while Xiaomi had filed three patent infringement lawsuits, involving a total of four patents, namely, European patents EP 2568724, EP 3096315, EP 2207270 and EP 2584854.

At present, domestic manufacturers have more or less encountered patent disputes at sea, such as Nokia's previous lawsuit against OPPO and vivo in Germany, which is still inconclusive.

It is worth mentioning that in June this year, Xiaomi Group's air conditioning department of large household appliances signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Panasonic air conditioners. The two sides will establish resource sharing in the R & D, production and manufacturing of air-conditioning products, and form a multi-level and multi-field strategic cooperative relationship. However, one code to one code, cooperation and competition still coexist.
