CTOnews.com August 9 news, source @ wxnod recently shared a screenshot of BIOS (UEFI) showing that Intel i7-14700K processors can overclock to 6.3GHz.

This screenshot uses MSI's MPG Z690 EDGE TI WiFi DDR4 motherboard, the BIOS version number is "E7D31IMS.AD0", and the new version adds support for the 14th generation processor.

Since the motherboard only supports DDR4 memory, the performance should be lower than the DDR5 version.

The screenshot shows that the clock frequency of the Intel i7-14700K processor is 6.3GHz and the voltage is 1.384V. Because the overclocking is completed at the BIOS level, it is impossible to judge its stability.

CTOnews.com previously reported that Core i7-14700K uses an 8x12 core configuration with a total of 20 cores and 28 threads, which is a larger upgrade than the existing i7-13700K (84GHz 5.4GHz 30MB).

The CPU is equipped with 33 MB intelligent cache, with a base frequency of 3.4 GHz,TBMT3 and a frequency of 5.6 GHz, which is also 200 MHz higher than 13700K, and the performance is expected to improve by about 5-10%.
