Walt Disney has set up a task force to study artificial intelligence and how to apply it to the group as a whole, although Hollywood writers and actors are trying to resist the invasion of the technology, according to people familiar with the matter.

These jobs cover almost every corner of Disney, from studios to theme parks, engineering groups and fantasy engineering (Walt Disney Imagineering), to Disney-branded television and advertising teams. According to the job ad description, the advertising team is looking to build a "next generation" advertising system supported by artificial intelligence.

A Disney spokesman declined to comment.

Traditional media companies, including Disney, either come up with artificial intelligence solutions or face the risk of being eliminated, according to one of the people familiar with the matter at Tuyuan Pexels.

The person familiar with the matter is an artificial intelligence advocate within Disney, who believes artificial intelligence is one of the tools to help control the soaring cost of film and television production. For some big-budget films, the cost can be as high as $300 million. Obviously, such a high budget requires equally huge box office returns in order to break even. The person familiar with the matter said that after the use of artificial intelligence technology, over time, the cost will drop accordingly.

For Disney's theme park business, artificial intelligence technology can enhance customer support or create new forms of interaction, according to another person familiar with the matter.

At present, artificial intelligence has become a powder keg in Hollywood. Writers and actors believe that artificial intelligence will threaten their jobs, which is also the trigger for their strike.

Disney has been cautious about how to discuss artificial intelligence in public. Recently, the visual effects director of Disney's new film Raiders: turntable of Destiny highlighted the hard work of more than 100 artists who spent three years trying to make the octogenarian star Harrison Ford younger.
