CTOnews.com August 8 news, China Telecom released a semi-annual report that China Telecom's operating income in the first half of the year was 258.7 billion yuan, an increase of 7.7 percent over the same period last year, and its first-half net profit was 20.153 billion yuan, an increase of 10.2 percent over the same period last year. A cash dividend of 0.1432 yuan per share will be paid in the interim.

In the first half of the year, the company's mobile communications service revenue continued to maintain good growth, reaching 101.6 billion yuan, an increase of 2.7% over the same period last year. Of this total, mobile value-added and application revenue reached 15.4 billion yuan, up 19.4% year-on-year. The penetration rate of users of the 5G package reached 73.4%, and the ARPU3 of mobile users reached 46.2 yuan, an increase of 0.4% over the same period last year.

China Telecom's income from fixed network and smart family services reached 62 billion yuan in the first half of the year, an increase of 3.6 percent over the same period last year. Among them, smart family business income reached 9.3 billion yuan, up 15.7 percent, gigabit broadband penetration reached 20.3 percent, and broadband comprehensive ARPU4 reached 48.2 yuan, an increase of 2.1 percent over the same period last year.

In the first half of this year, China Telecom signed about 6000 5G 2B commercial projects, an increase of nearly 80% over the same period last year, with a total of more than 20,000; the self-developed AIoT Internet of things platform was upgraded to cloud native 3AZ architecture, with more than 470 million Internet of things connections; depending on the number of Internet users exceeding 57 million.

Last month's operating data showed that China Telecom had 402 million mobile subscribers in June, a net increase of 790000 in the same month and 10.73 million in the same year. Among them, the number of 5G package users reached 295 million, with a net increase of 4.24 million in the month and 26.9 million in the same year.

In addition, the number of cable broadband subscribers of China Telecom reached 186 million in June, a net increase of 610000 in the same month and 5.36 million in the same year. China Telecom had 103 million fixed-line subscribers in June, a net decrease of 70,000 in the same month and 1.77 million in the same year.
