CTOnews.com August 8 news, Tesla recently began to deliver the Hardware 4 Autopilot component of the Model Y model, and the latest disassembly shows that the HW 4 car system memory and storage capacity compared to HW 3 reduced by half, basically ruled out the possibility of running Steam.

Source @greentheonly dug deep into HW 4 hardware and found that it has 8GB of memory and 128GB of built-in storage, which means that the new Model Y will not run Steam since it requires at least 16GB of memory to run Steam.

Some owners have confirmed that the infotainment system in HW4 feels very responsive. However, with the daily use of users, various application databases will continue to take up more space, so owners need to reset to free up space.

CTOnews.com previously reported that compared to the Model X / S, the HW 4.0 hardware on the Model Y model is clearly a "castrated version," such as removing the stand-alone GPU and better audio drivers, using cheaper non-ECC memory, and seemingly removing the two additional screen display interfaces previously added.
