Colossal said that although the original games provided a variety of themes to show a variety of climates by changing the visual atmosphere and environment, a new climate system was introduced in the "City: skyline 2" game, with cities on each map changing seasons according to the climate of the real location.

Officials say the new climate system will allow seasons to match the latitudes of the map, controlling seasonal changes, day lengths and weather patterns.

Climate can be divided into three basic types, and each map has its own unique climate characteristics on top of these three types.
