CTOnews.com August 8 news, Bloomberg's Mark Gulman in today's latest issue of the Power On newsletter, continue to reveal that Apple is currently testing the M3 Max chip, is expected to be next year with the new MacBook Pro and you meet.

Gulman said in the newsletter that the new M3 Max chip will have 16 CPU cores (12 high-performance processing cores and 4 efficiency cores) and 40 graphics processing cores, making it the most powerful chip on Apple Silicon.

Gulman previously reported that the M3 Max chip is expected to adopt a new 3-nanometer process, which will improve speed and efficiency compared with the M2 Max chip. Apple is testing the chip in an unreleased high-end MacBook Pro codenamed "J514."

Bloomberg previously reported that the first Mac computers equipped with the M3 chip will be released in October. The initial lineup will include a 13-inch MacBook Pro, a 24-inch iMac and a 13-inch MacBook Air. Whether the base version of the M3 Mac mini will also launch at the same time is unknown.
