CTOnews.com August 7 news, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers announced the import of complete vehicles in China in the first half of the year through the statistics of the General Administration of Customs. CTOnews.com collates the relevant data as follows:

Vehicle imports increased by 7.3% month-on-month in June 2023, an increase of 7.7% over the same period last year.

The value of vehicle imports increased by 10.8% month-on-month, up 5.3% from the same period last year.

The import volume of small passenger cars and cars increased month-on-month, while the import volume of off-road vehicles decreased rapidly.

The import of cars increased rapidly, while the import of minibuses and off-road vehicles decreased to varying degrees compared with the same period last year.

Vehicle imports fell by 22.4% in the first half of 2023 compared with the same period last year, and vehicle imports fell by 23.8% year on year.

Cars, off-road vehicles and minibuses all showed a significant decline compared with the same period last year, with the three categories accounting for 88% of the total automobile imports.

According to previous reports by the CTOnews.com, China's vehicle exports in the first half of the year announced by the China Automobile Association showed that in June 2023, China's vehicle exports were lower than last month, while vehicle exports declined slightly from the previous month, maintaining rapid growth compared with the same period last year. The relevant figures are as follows:

In June 2023, China exported 411000 vehicles, down 6.3% from the previous month and an increase of 65.5% over the same period last year.

Vehicle exports totaled US $7.76 billion, down 14.2% from the previous month, an increase of 1.1 times over the same period last year.

The export volume of pure electric vehicles (except passenger cars with 10 seats or more), cars, passenger cars and trucks ranked first and fourth respectively.

Car export volume increased slightly compared with the previous month.

The export volume of passenger cars, pure electric vehicles (except passenger cars with 10 seats or more) and trucks decreased in varying degrees.

The export volume of trucks decreased slightly compared with the same period last year, and the export volume of the other three categories increased in varying degrees compared with the same period last year.

2.341 million vehicles were exported in the first half of 2023, an increase of 76.9% over the same period last year.

Vehicle exports totaled US $46.42 billion, an increase of 1.1 times over the same period last year.

The export volume of the four major categories of pure electric vehicles, passenger cars, cars and trucks has increased to varying degrees compared with the same period last year.
