CTOnews.com August 7 news, the new American car-building force Lucid recently launched time-limited price cuts and rental concessions for different models of its Lucid Air. Specifically, the price reduction of this batch of models ranges from $4600 to $29000 (currently about 33028 to 208000 yuan). CTOnews.com collates as follows:

Lucid Air Pure: the price is reduced by US $4600 and is now sold at US $82400 (currently about RMB 592000)

Lucid Air Touring: the price is reduced by US $13000 and is now sold at US $95000 (currently about RMB 682000)

Lucid Air Grand Touring: the price is reduced by US $29000 and is now sold at US $125600 (currently about RMB 902000)

At the same time, the car has also introduced varying degrees of rental discounts, and the monthly rental price of the above models has dropped from $9.95 to $1499 per month to $749 to $1399 per month. In addition, Lucid will launch a lower-priced Pure rear-drive model, which is expected to sell for $77400 (currently about 556000 yuan) and is scheduled to go on sale in September 2023.

It is worth noting that the car's direct competitor in the local market in the United States is Tesla Model S, where Tesla cut the prices of both the Model X and Model S by $8000 earlier this year, and offered three years of free supercharging service to customers who bought cars before June 30. These measures mean that customers can now buy the 2023 Tesla Model S for about $83000 (currently about 596000 yuan).

In addition, according to the Q2 production and sales data previously released by Lucid, Lucid's inventory declined in the second quarter of this year as sales exceeded production.

Lucid produced 2173 vehicles in the quarter (up 204 per cent year-on-year) and delivered 1404 vehicles (107 per cent year-on-year), but it was slightly lower than in the first quarter. For reference, Lucid produced and sold 2314 and 1406 vehicles respectively in the first quarter.
