CTOnews.com, August 5, OpenAI announced today through its official X (Twitter) account that ChatGPT has now been upgraded to GPT-4 by default.

Generative Pre-trained Transformer 4 is a large multimodal language model created by OpenAI and the latest version of the AI model trained by the company.

ChatGPT has been running on the GPT-3.5 version by default, meaning it has lagged behind Microsoft's Bing Chat.
