CTOnews.com August 5, Apple yesterday released its latest results for its fiscal third quarter (the second quarter of 2023), reporting total revenue of $81.79 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about RMB 588.07 billion), down 1% from a year earlier to earnings of $1.26 per share. Profit for the quarter was $19.88 billion (currently about RMB 142.937 billion), up 5 per cent from a year earlier.

Revenue adjustment: pessimists will notice that revenue has fallen year-on-year for the third consecutive quarter, but the year-on-year revenue change chart paints a more comprehensive picture:

As can be seen from the picture, the decline in revenue is narrowing, and Apple's richer company does not reveal a return to growth, saying that the situation in the fourth quarter of this year (Q3) may be similar to that of Q3 (Q2).

Hardware revenue decline: in the key hardware revenue stream, there is more worrying news, Mac is down 7%, the iPad is down 20%, the iPhone is down 2%.
