CTOnews.com, August 4 (Xinhua)-- GMC General Motors shared a preview map of its new electric model on social platforms on August 3. The prototype is a Hummer EV pickup truck with a large roof on the roof.

The electric camper is licensed by EarthCruiser, a third-party modifier, and can be seen as an official version of Hummer EV. As can be seen in the picture, the camping roof is connected to the roof to form an integrated visual effect, rather than floating above the roof as other traditional campers converted from pickups. In addition, the camping ceiling also has built-in LED lights and an upward-opened rear door, increasing the height of the original car by almost half.

As for the specific launch date, the date mentioned in the preview chart is "early 2024". But GM also said the camping pickup would not support an official warranty.

CTOnews.com reported earlier this year that General Motors spokesman Nicole Schmitz said the company had begun production of the SUV version of the Hummer electric car at Plant Zero in Michigan, and officials had previously said the SUV would go on sale "in early 2023."

GM began shipping a pickup version of the Hummer EV in December 2021. In October 2022, GM announced that it had built 782 Hummer EV during 2022, and said it had about 90,000 bookings for both the truck version and the SUV version. Last summer, the Wall Street Journal reported that GM only produces about 12 Hummer electric cars a day. GM expects production of the Hummer EV series to be much faster than last year.
