CTOnews.com, August 4 (Xinhua)-- Kurtis Beavers, head of Microsoft's Copilot design team, posted a blog post today urging users to use polite language as much as possible when chatting with AI to help Microsoft generate better content.

Beavers says artificial intelligence is mainly based on large language models (LLM) and is trained by talking to humans about content. LLM is like a giant forecasting machine, making highly probable guesses about what might happen next.

If users use polite words such as please and thank you, the trained AI will also be more polite, considerate and helpful; if users use rude or provocative language, we may get some rude responses and even trigger some unnecessary behavior.
