A month after the launch of the social app Threads, which Meta regards as a "Twitter killer," user participation has fallen to a new low.

As of July 31, the number of daily active users of Threads was 82% lower than when it was launched, and only 8 million users visited the app every day, according to Sensor Tower. In response to an interview with foreign media CNN, Sensor Tower said that the data of Threads applications are at their lowest level since its launch, with an average decrease of 1 per cent in the number of daily active users.

On July 8, the number of daily active users decreased by 20% compared with the same day last year. Sensor Tower added that the frequency of people opening Threads has also decreased, with the average time spent by users of the platform falling from the initial 21 minutes to 4 minutes, indicating that "users are only using inertia to open App and then turn it off after browsing for a while."

DogeDesigner, the icon designer of the "X" platform, also posted a post making fun of the news, which showed Musk happily carrying the coffin and dancing with the Threads logo engraved on the coffin. Musk responded: "Threads committed a big crime, it makes people bored to death."
