Apple outlines a new monitoring method in its patent, saying that sound is vulnerable to interference such as background sound, and hopes to record subtle facial movements through the AirPods's built-in gyroscope or accelerometer, which can not only reduce power consumption and processing burden, but also improve accuracy.

Apple says it records the movement of the mouth, neck or head through motion sensors such as accelerometers and gyroscopes, and uses algorithms to "read" the user's lips.
