At the same time, he also said that the second quarter of 2023 marked Intel's return to profitability after several quarters of decline. "I really think the worst is over. As you know, we raised our performance targets for the third quarter, heralding a more optimistic future."

In this interview, Pat Kissinger highlighted several products related to AI, including the fifth generation Emerald Rapids (server chip, slightly earlier than planned for the fourth quarter of 2023), which is expected to be launched in the third quarter of 2023, and the Meteor Lake, which will be launched for clients in the second half of this year. Considering the fast-growing AI ecosystem and the AI enhancements added to the upcoming Core Ultra series chips, Pat Kissinger calls the Meteor Lake series PC "AI PC".
