CTOnews.com, August 4-after Steve Jobs' signed cheque sold for $100000; a rare 4GB unopened original iPhone sold for $190000, the now unopened original iPod once again broke the record, trading at a price of $29000 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 209000 yuan).

However, the original unopened iPod products are not sold in the traditional private sale or auction mode, but by crowdfunding collectibles platform Rally.

Rally opened up ownership of the original iPod at 5000 shares at $5 a share in 2021, totaling $25000.

This week, buyers made a $29000 offer, up 16% from the price of the past year and a half.

These shareholders will vote to decide whether to accept the deal, and in the end, 61.98 per cent of shareholders voted in favor of the takeover offer, breaking the world record for sales of the original iPod.

The original iPod was released in 2001 with a price tag of $399. Adjusted for inflation, the record of $29000 represents a roughly 73-fold increase in value.
