CTOnews.com August 3 news, Acer today (3) held a board of directors, through the second quarter of 2023 results, consolidated revenue to NT $58.261 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about NT $13.225 billion), an increase of 11.1% month-on-month; gross profit of NT $6.255 billion, gross profit margin increased to 10.7%.

Net operating profit in the second quarter was NT $1.046 billion, up 338.6% from a month earlier; net profit was NT $1.392 billion (currently about NT $316 million), up 170.2% from a month earlier; EPS for a single quarter was NT $0.46, with a cumulative EPS of NT $0.64 in the first half of the year.

Acer said it passed the post-epidemic stress test of the industry, its performance reversed around May, and new graphics cards and network products were launched one after another. Computers, monitors and most businesses continue to contribute revenue and profits.

CTOnews.com found that Acer also issued an announcement on the same day that it would invest in Changli Technology, a manufacturer of lithium phosphate iron batteries.

Acer announced that energy storage plays an indispensable role in the development of green energy such as solar photovoltaics and wind power, and in order to strengthen the upstream and downstream layout of the energy storage industry, Acer's board of directors today (3) approved a quota of no more than 13000000 shares of NT $30 per share, which is expected to acquire about 11% stake in Lithium Iron Phosphate Core Factory Director Lee Technology.

Changli Technology, founded in Tainan in 2009, has experience in R & D and manufacturing of lithium phosphate batteries, and continues to develop products related to energy storage systems and electric locomotives.
