Such cases involve "privacy violations of collecting users", and Wechat will limit the Mini Program-related capabilities of violators.

Unless required by relevant law, or with the consent of the user, the user shall not be required to enter personal information (mobile phone number, date of birth, etc.) to use its functions, or to collect user passwords or personal information (including, but not limited to, mobile phone number, ID number, birthday, address, etc.).

In the operation of Mini Program, users are not allowed to apply for permission or collect users' personal information in advance without triggering relevant functions or services that require permissions or user personal information.

Wechat public platform said that in order to protect users' personal information and ensure a good user experience of Mini Program, the platform has compiled adjustment guidelines for developers' reference:

1. Once users enter Mini Program, they should be able to experience browsing Mini Program business content. They should not collect their mobile phone numbers through pop-up windows or redirected pages without displaying any information.

2. After entering Mini Program, users should be able to browse Mini Program pages or sections normally. Users should not be required to provide their mobile phone number to browse. They should ensure a normal browsing experience.

3. In some business scenarios, when the mobile phone number is not necessary to provide the service, the user should be allowed to operate normally, and the collection of the user's mobile number should not be forced, such as ordering / picking up food at the store, parking and payment, page sharing, etc.

4. In the Mini Program business usage scenario, if the mobile phone number is necessary to provide the service, you should clearly explain to the user the necessary reasons for the collection, and provide a user privacy agreement to be agreed by the user actively.

5. In Mini Program business scenarios, the mobile phone number is necessary to provide services, and the user may refuse to provide it. A significant refusal operation mode should be provided for the user, and after the user refuses, the user shall not frequently ask or ask for the mobile phone number.

Wechat public platform said that daily verification of the platform is ongoing, and if Mini Program is found to collect users' mobile phone numbers in unnecessary scenarios by restricting user operations, the platform will remind developers to check and adjust themselves. If not adjusted at the expiration date, the relevant capabilities will be limited according to the degree of violations.
